This 1957 Ford Thunderbird was refurbished some time ago, and it is finished in Dusk Rose over black and white vinyl. It was purchased in 2017 by the current owner, who has since used the car sparingly and primarily for special occasions. Power comes from a 312ci V8 paired with a three-speed Fordomatic automatic transmission, and additional equipment includes a Colonial White-finished removable hardtop with porthole windows, a black soft top, 14″ wire wheels, power-assisted brakes, power steering, a heater, power windows, a Custom Autosound radio, and parking lights. This Thunderbird is offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with a clean Idaho title.
The car left the factory finished in Dusk Rose and was repainted under previous ownership. The porthole hardtop is finished in its factory specification of Colonial White, and additional exterior features include a black soft top, a Thunderbird hood emblem, shaped and chromed front and rear bumpers, fender vents, bumper-mounted auxiliary parking lights, reverse lights, a fixed antenna, and slanted tail fins. The driver’s door handle was adjusted in preparation for the sale. Exterior blemishes, including a dent on the left fender, are shown in detail in the gallery.
The 14″ wire wheels are mounted with Mastercraft tires. Stopping power is supplied by power-assisted drum brakes at each corner.
The interior was refreshed under prior ownership, and the bench seat was re-trimmed in black and white vinyl. Features include a heater, a Custom Autosound radio, a floor-mounted shifter, power windows, and a locking glove box. The driver’s window was repaired, and the passenger’s window was adjusted within the last year.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a centrally mounted 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 75k miles.
The 312ci Y-block V8 is topped with a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 245 horsepower. The battery has been replaced within the last year.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a Fordomatic three-speed automatic transmission.
