This 1964.5 Ford Mustang convertible was refurbished in 1994 and remained with its prior owner for three decades before it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024. The car was delivered from the factory in Sunlight Yellow and has been refinished in white. Exterior features include a replacement black convertible soft top, chrome bumpers, a rear luggage rack, a hood ornament, grille-mounted fog lights, exhaust outlets that exit through the rear valance, and GT badging.
Styled 14″ steel wheels are mounted with 205/70 Goodyear tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by front and rear drums.
The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl. Refurbishment work reportedly involved replacing the dashboard, visors, seat upholstery, carpets, and door sill plates. An AM radio is equipped.
Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer flanked by auxiliary gauges. A Rally Pac 6k-rpm tachometer and an inoperative analog clock are mounted aft the steering wheel. The five-digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 20 of which were added under current ownership. There is damage to the steering wheel.
The D-code 289ci V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The selling dealer reports that the spark plugs, battery, and engine oil were changed in 2023.
